This software is necessary for your graduate school coursework. Please note that the Kalmanovitz 261 Social Sciences Lab on campus has Stata on 10 of their computers, so this can be an option if you do not want to purchase it.

Stata offers student priced licenses at GradPlan pricing for the University of San Francisco, meaning students can purchase at a substantial discount off the already-discounted educational price of Stata. The software offered is in no way limited in terms of features.

**Small Stata is limited to analyzing datasets with a maximum of 99 variables on approximately 1,200 observations. Small Stata can have at most 98 right-hand-side variables in a model. These limitations include any additional variables or observations that are generated during statistical computations.
Delivery is via electronic software download. You will receive download instructions when you place your order and then your License and Activation Key after your order has been processed, typically within one day.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

During your two-year graduate program, you are not required to upgrade your Stata license. If your license expires soon, you have the option to review pricing and renew your license at http://www.stata.com/renew

Any student planning on completing a thesis should obtain the "Intercooled" version 14, which handles larger data sets, otherwise the "small" version 14 is fine​

Select Educational in Step 1 and Students in Step 2. Choose the Stata license required for your class and begin the checkout process.

*Proof of student status will be required in order to proceed with your purchase when you order. This is to confirm your eligibility as a USF student— to do this, please take a screen shot from your computer or phone of your fall course schedule (see the example below) and upload it as a document to the online order. Stata will also accept a University-issued student ID card, tuition statements, or letters of enrollment as proof of student status.
